That's what I meant replaceable but not something nothing stupid like replacing the whole lense!!

There are YouTube guides on how to do it.

Went to Motorpoint today, just can't stop that itch for something bigger now we have the two grandchildren and it's tight in the Mazda at times.
Just comparing physical sizes really, legroom, boot space etc.

Leaning toward the Kodiak 7 seat..the 5 seat Kodiak, Karoq and even the VW Tiguan offer more leg and heads pace...but not that much more width to give comfort when there's 3 in the back...and not enough to spend 20k on.

You know what struck me ? The really nice thud as I closed the doors. Really did feel solid.

Erring away from the Karoq, not enough extra space to make it worth while.
Ditto the Tiguan, plus I suspect maintenance costs will be higher.

Thoroughly nice looking cars, inside and out.

What did you decide?

I presume that the Tiguan is the same, but the Kodiaq is available in front-wheel-drive , & 4x4 versions (with a 'Haldex' system bringing in the rear drive when required)
It's got me off a few muddy caravan sites, with barely any wheelspin, & has been tested a few times, on muddy slopes (surprisingly good on standard 'road' tyres)

Unsurprisingly (if you know me) common sense took over.
I was talking to my SIL about it the other day...I am actually quite lazy and can't be bothered to jump through hoops, if it was easy...
Wife agrees, spending a chunk on a car that would be really nice but 95% of the time uneccessary, seems a bit out.
We all dream though, if only in fits and starts 😀

I think my 14 year old Fabia has reached its end with me; the EGR valve needs replaced and it’s not cheap at around £800. I was offered the alternative of mapping it out for £300 but I believe that’s illegal and would fail its next MOT.

It’s a shame too, because it drives really well and still gives me easily 75mpg on long runs.

It would only fail the MOT if the emissions are too high, or any kind of light appears on the dashboard. If done well neither of these might occur. However, the moral dilemma is that the NOx will increase and we all have to breathe it.

I thought tampering with any part of the exhaust system designed to reduce noxious emissions was illegal. That seems to be the consensus on a google search too.

I’m not sure I want to spend £300 that might still leave me with a car that fails its next MOT.

Niw I've got a dipped beam bulb flickering...

As the are xenon are they standard bulbs or something different?

Skoda Octavia l+k...

Mine did this the other week.

Replaced with some cheap chinese Xenon bulbs from Amazon and didn't realise how much the bulbs that were in on purchase had deteriorated.

Refuse to pay £100+ for a pair of bulbs and they should be changed in pairs, so £30 for a pair from Amazon was a lot more palitable

D1S bulbs in yours

So I try and replace the bulb to do so the nut has to come off ok so that. Then the pull lever has to be pulled under the lense but it's rusted solid!
Any ideas? will ring the garage tomorrow!

Xenon don't usually have a pull lever and screw into the unit (45 degree twist)

I think the cover is screwed on and then pull the cable and twist the bulb

You need to get the lense out to put the new bulb in I think. It's really no access tbh.
