Could be a decisive weekend. If France beat England they will be expecting a grand slam match with Ireland. If Wales lose to Italy the wooden spoon is on the cards. Scotland will push Ireland and could spring a surprise.

France, Italy and Scotland are my picks for the day. We've got to break our streak against Ireland at some point and today is as good as any.

ETA - got my days muddled up, so I'll actually be able to watch the game tomorrow, hooray!

I'm not even sure what to feel about Wales any more: pity or embarrassment. I know there's a lot going on off the pitch but the discipline on it is unforgivable, and tactically they just don't seem to have a clue.

Sad to see Wales on the ropes. The forward pack, Morgan excepted, is not good enough. Tomas Williams is ok but had no quality ball and no control. The two 10s were poor today. That said, Italy did very well in poor conditions, they could easily have choked in the last quarter.

Decent enough first half. So when, and how badly will England fall to bits?

I always enjoy this fixture. Ever since I was a JP Rives-worshipping schoolboy, France have been my favourite team. Of course I actually support England but I'm generally pleased whatever happens.

Didn't see the other match, I was out on my bike. Happy for Italy.

Wow. That was really exciting. Good for England fo finally close out a match. Probably good for the 6N too.

If the weather was anything like what I was cycling in today, about 40km to the SE of Twickenham, Im not surprised at the number of handling errors.

That last conversion was naïve. Should have let the game clock go red - kicking coach was on too, so I wonder what happened?

A bit of luck for England in the first half. But, credit for finishing that one off. Forwards were excellent except for the line out. Finally the bench added something. France wanted and expected to win, England needed to win.

Good result for England there, French handling errors cost them big time.

France had their own luck, their 8 passed the ball forward 2 yards in the lead up to their final try?
