I was disappointed with Scotland. I mean - lager drinkers, who would have thought it!
The Caledonian brewery isn't far from Murrayfield, surely they could have got hold of some Deuchars IPA.

Tennents Lager is the 'official beer' of Scottish Rugby, they are a major sponsor, so not surprising they had all those cans on display in the changing room, how many of the team were actually drinking them is another question.

Looked like a lot of open boxes to me.

I thought a draw was a pretty fair result. Neither side really deserved a win out of that - in my irrelevant opinion.

If France can't get their heads straight then perhaps England might manage another win. Maybe, possibly....

I'm starting to think that Dupont not being there might have had a bigger impact than was at first considered? They briefly mentioned how he was over in Canada "playing rugby with a smile on his face again" or words to that effect so it made me wonder at least.

Part of France's problem was that they'd clearly set up to muscle Italy off the park. Can't remember the last time I saw such a disparity in pack weights. When that didn't work they didn't have a backup plan and other than a few flashes of neat running looked clueless.

Hmmm, yes.

You gotta love rugby union. So many patches applied to fix things, with interesting consequences.

Think how much better utterly bonkers it would be if the UCI ran it and we had commissares(sp?) instead of refs.

:P

(Would they patrol the pitch in bright red open-top cars, or 3-wheeled Motos?? Hopefully Lambrettas in Italy.)

Yeah, my grandad was the same and he never had an issue.

TBH I don't have a problem with the Wales and Ireland jerseys. Its more subtle shades that get me. Mind you, my dad (also colour blind) and I used to watch Pot Black on the monochrome telly, much to my mother's amusement.

Only just read about this, not sure how much of an issue it has been, especially considering the pitch is green but there we go:

https://www.planetrugby.com/news/si...f-in-green-and-red-jerseys-for-the-final-time

(" the pitch is green" ... err, thanks for that observation ... )

I've only got mild red-green - so I don't struggle with things like traffic lights, but they sometimes look Red-Amber-Blue to me! And I can never drive a train
So I appreciate the sentiment, even though I watched Ire-Wales OK. Sports do often mess this up - it seems to be worse in club rugby, I see lots with two teams in a messy black-red-sponsorsLogo-white pattern covered in mud, and I honestly have no idea which is which!
My biggest problem is when colleagues produce graphs with more than ~3 colours using the Excel defaults. They may as well be gray-scalle to me, especially once they're on a projector (or big-screen telly) which distorts the colours more.

So at least acknowledging the issue is a positive - at least that's how I see it!
