Or any other sport that includes an "artistic" element, such as figure skating, skiing/snowboarding park events, BMX "tricks" events, etc.

Dressage too. Completely judged on subjective interpretation. They have multiple judges to try and average out any biases or differences in viewpoint.

Agreed. Take a look at what happened to Wayne Barnes after the RWC final. Death threats, doxing, and other online abuse that led to him retiring from refereeing. Saying “they are cheating” on an online forum is the thin end of a very nasty wedge.

Agreed. I was never keen on Barnes as a referee, but all that stuff is completely unacceptable.

Well, most people supporting Scotland did.

Most of those supporting France said "held up"

Neutrals said "hmmm. Could have been grounded. Could have been held up. Could have been lost forward. Oh, is that the end? Time to put the kettle on." Maybe not most neutrals, but at least one.

I think the Scots were unlucky, but I can see why the ref didnt change his mind from his initial "held up" call. you can see it on the foot and you can then see it slid off the foot, but you have to infer it is then "down" as you can"clearly" see that it is, although what could be keeping it off the grass is a mystery to me. FWIW I would have given a try, but as I said to the hockey umpire on Saturday, "well its your opinion that counts". he pinged me for what i thought was a great tackle, my response was "Nooooooo!" and he replied, "in my opinion you got his stick before the ball"
I didnt but I'm old enough and wise enough to know that arguing doesn't chnage a decision, it just gets you a green or yellow card.

Re: the caterpillar. There is indeed chat about having it limited to a certain number of players, or how many can join after it has been "formed". They're getting daft now, especially when the ref has called "use it" and someone else joins. Should be pulled up for that.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/68282213 Scottish Rugby has called on the sport's governing body to publicly acknowledge that a game-defining mistake was made in the 2nd half of Scotland's Six Nations loss to France. In an email to World Rugby, the SRU say the integrity of the tournament was compromised by Finn Russell's ridiculously passive kicking strategy while they hung onto a 3-point lead.
FTFY ;)

Actually, credit to Russell:

Those were his post match comments, minutes after the game. He's been a bit of a radge bampot in the past but he's clearly screwed the nut a wee bit over the years.

Murrayfield, I'd imagine.

Well you’re going to look mighty foolish if it’s a draw. 😁

Been wrong before but I can't see this ending in a draw. As it happens I was at the last draw at Murrayfield in 2010. Not as epic as the 38-38 draw at Twickenham but pretty special.

Going with Ireland and Scotland today, France tomorrow. All will be quite close I reckon.

Best of three?
