Day to myself today so I popped up to Solihull to the National Motorcycle Museum, lunch at a very nice place in Meriden and a quick trip up the road to see the site of the old Triumph factory, home now and pizza ordered for supper!

A good trip to the Barking Cat beer festival with a couple of friends. Over 20 guest beers so I decided to stick with stouts. A couple of Christmas's ago we visited Leeds and stayed at a Samuel Smiths Hotel / Pub. This was only a very short walk away from the excellent Tartarus micro brewery and Tap room where we spent an enjoyable evening.
I noticed that there was one of their beers on tap, unfortunately my bus was due so I never got to sample their " Ladon 120 minute IPA " at 15.3% and £18 a pint 😮

Good morning all, almost a lie in. I didn't wake up until 06.35.
A bit overcast at the moment but it's due to brighten up a bit later on.

Good morning folks. The sun has reappeared ☀️😎. I have been sleeping better since we fitted a mattress topper to the bed, it's a " Silentnight 800 " and has made a real difference. It was cheaper to buy direct from Silentnight, added a couple of pillowslips to the order to qualify for free postage and they sent two pairs😁
Granddaughter sleepover tonight as daughter is going to her language exchange café, we have an Easter egg in the fridge which hopefully granddaughter will share with grandad 😁
