Good morning and thank goodness that's January over. February is the shortest month so spring is fast approaching. In other news today is my 44th running anniversary, 1st February 1981 is the day I stubbed out my last ever Players Gold Leaf and headed out the door to try out that jogging malarkey. I'm off to parkrun this morning and still enjoying it 🏃

I have said before that I used to enjoy running. 8 milers were my favourite. Half marathon was the furthest I managed. Then my ligaments went which was a blessing in disguise as I turned to cycling which I was surprised to find I enjoyed more than running.

Good Morning. Its 4 and clear sky with an excellent forecast. I'm heading out with one of the club rides. Just a question of which one. At the moment I'm tempted by the C group. This is supposed to run at 15mph average, typically it goes much faster. I doubt I'll be able to stick with the group but I'm going to give it a go though I'll be keeping an eye on exactly who turns up. If some of the big boys are there I'll drop onto something with a more friendly pace. :bicycle::bicycle:

Morning. Awake earlier than expected after last night’s retirement do merriment. Feeling OK too despite many pints of beer (it was a session ale so I guess that helps). Wife feeling less OK after some bottles of wine.

So, retirement day 1 - mostly recovery, walk the dog later to go and pick our car up from the pub. Might go in…
