Good morning. Day 2 of the marathon childminding session. #2SP today, she is a four year Duracell bunny without an off switch. It's either 100 or 0% charge. I love her dearly but boy it is non-stop.

The sky looks benign and we seem to be above 0⁰.......however the sky is red........the shepherd seems to grumbling a bit.

Right then.......one more cup of coffee before I go........

Good morning all.
It's a chilly, frosty start to the day here.
Sainsbury's are delivering the weekly goodies between 8.30 and 9.30.
After that I shall be out for a longish dog walk, although all the fields are very boggy after the recent snow and rain. I'll try to stick to the paths as much as possible.
I'll also try to get out on the bike for a while to keep the legs ticking over.

Not sure where I heard this but I heard of a mechanic who was servicing the local doctor's car in a very rural garage many many years ago

The car was very well used as it was travelling all over the area all times of day and night visiting patients

Lots needed replacing due to normal wear and tear

except the brakes - they were hardly worn at all
so when the doctor came to pick the car up he commented on the state of the brakes
the doctor replied that he hardly ever used the brakes - didn;t see why there were needed expect at the end of a trip

he literally knew the roads so well that he could drive round and just be going at the right speed and in the right gear for every corner all the time just through thinking ahead and not rushing
bit extreme - but a lot of people could drive a lot better by thinking ahead more - or at all!!!

Doctor, visiting Patients?

Must be an urban myth. 😂

You don't need to drop down a gear approaching a bend or roundabout. Simply slow down and the cat does the work for you.

I have a manual license but I can't ve arsed with all the faff

Foggy and very cold here.

Turbo and multi-gym today followed by trip to town for a new coal scuttle and the GP for the nurse to go through my latest MOT results.

A complete waste of time as everything says 'in range' apart from Cholesterol being slightly over on my NHS App.

Also, is it beneath GP's to talk to patients these days as everything seems delegated to Nurses, Nurse Practioners or Pharmacy Practioners at our Practice?
