Can you clad a shed I wonder? I have an 8'x12' shed that's basically sound but the boards have started to shrink on the sides and the bottom of the door has started to rot in one place. It's a solid timber frame so I was pondering on how to rescue it.

If it is all wood then the bits can be replaced if you have the basic skills
even I could probably do a reasonable job of it and I am seriously rubbish

Once sorted out and all OK then it needs a good protective coat of "stuff"
4I suspect it is possible to get some kind of surface coating - maybe even plastic sheeting of some kind
you would just have to make sure it was all dry when you started and the water cannot wick up from the ground in wet weather - maybe put the feet on blocks or something

I have toiled on my allotment. Mrs P put her hammock up ten feet from where I was working. She issued instructions and watched. Mrs P has gone out. Mrs P left the hammock up.

As a dutiful and caring husband I am carrying out pre-season inspection and a health and safety assessment.

If you see Mrs P, red Fiat 500, approaching give us a nudge.......

Afternoon all .
Sailing went ok , not as good as last week but I managed to get two mid fleet races in and no cramp either . So that counts as win for me until I change boat .( I’ve had a couple of possibilities so far. The first one was just what I wanted at the right price but was discounted because of cosmetic reasons and some one else contacted me about one this week . But basically they know I really want one, so think I will over pay. They dont know me very well. 😂😀)
Now sat at home drinking coffee waiting for wine o’clock 😀.

Been a Q day. Cleaned the van and Mrs Ds car, then took Mrs D for a CT scan.

A Sunday appt is unusual but there's a reason for that. I'll update either way when the results are in.

Exlaser I have wanted to ask for a long time what class you sail now and what class will the changeboat be?

By my reckoning it was gin o'clock when you posted this. 🤣

Mrs P has purchased some new gin glasses. I'm carrying out a suitability assessment and might have to undertake an additional health and safety assessment a little later.

I totally agree but unfortunately I am one of those very strange people that really dislikes the smell of gin, no idea why . 😀
Especially as I like most types of clear sprit up to and including potcheen , which my dad always came back with after going home to northern island . ( One of my uncle’s always had a still on the go 😀 ).

Good evening, being without a kitchen saw us dining courtesy of Tom Kerridge " Dine in for £15 " from M&S. The veggie choice was very good indeed, and we got some extra veg as side dishes. All cooked in our Sage combination oven/grill/airfryer.
I ran in shorts and long sleeved top when I went on the heath this morning and noticed how warm it felt. Just checked and it was 16 degrees 😮.

I currently sail a Devoti D-zero, which is a slightly bigger, a lot faster, 2015 take on a Laser type singlehander. ( It’s a terrific boat especially if you sail on a biggish big of water with cleanish winds .Down sides, the hull is a bit draggy in light wind and its tacks slowly. If I sailed at large reservoir like Draycote or chase water there is no way I would think about changing.
What I am thinking of changing back to is a Lightning 368, which shorter, slower , faster tacking 1980s take on a Laser type singlehander .
In an idea world I would go back to British moth sailing but history has taught me that Mrs exlaser and I sailing in the same type of boat is just asking for marital disharmony. 😂😀 .
First two pics are D-zeros . Second two are lightning 368. Last is a British moth.
