Due to gears slipping and general "stuff" - including the ebike software - I decided to take the bike to the LBS today

got there and he is on his own today so he hasn;t got time to take anything else on - and I can;t leve it there overnight as he doesn;t like storing bikes if he can help it (fair enough!)

anyway - should be OK tomorrow

so I went home
then DROVE to Tesco and did some shopping
the 1 month I was told to not drive finished yesterday - but I was unsure if that meant I could drive yesterday or it finished yesterday so I left it until today
filled about 6 bags - including lots of heavy stuff that I have been putting off while I couldn;t drive

cars are really usefull!!!

This may get very messy. We have our very own sink hole. Opened up in the back street. One metre deep at present. Five doors up from us. For the past 18 months two young couples have been carrying out extensive, really heavy stuff, work to their properties. There's been a lot of water and numerous HGV movements. It all points in their direction.

Contact the counsel as soon as possible - and the water company if it looks like there might be any water involved

It's unadopted and LCC Highways have walked away from it. A friend contacted United Utilities who have accepted water is the likely cause.

We had a similar situation 40 years ago with a drain that runs along the front of the properties. It's clear cut each household is jointly responsible for the drain. It blocked at one end. 10 houses had to pay £1500 each towards the cost. We were all insured bar one guy. He was not happy. 40 years ago? £1500 was a very large amount of money.

It's going to be interesting.

Decided I've too much time on my hands so I'm going to do another degree.

Spent the morning rearranging my man cave room so it's a bit more organised in anticipation of spending more time in there studying.
