🤣🤣🤣 that's one of the funniest thoughts I've had in a long time. I must admit to giving the Weetabix pack a good shake today.

Agreed, daughters three eldest daughters did DofE, very rewarding. They all did it from school, thanks to a very dedicated teacher.

One more cup of coffee before I go........most mornings I attempt the Guardian cryptic crossword. I'd hope to get 70% of the answers, sometimes 100%. This morning?? Geez! I got seven right.

There's a cheat function. I did this, got all the answers and checked them against the clues. All I can say is the composer must have dropped several acid tabs........

It is wet here and set to be wet most of the day. AND it's cold
Another crazy night when I woke at 0200 so had to watch sport till I was tired at 0400......I then slept well till 0730.
@PaulSB .... so nice to read your comments re your little granddaughters. At my age (and health) I don't envy you but as I say, it's nice to read.

I earned my Silver D of E in the Boys Brigade; 22nd West Kent to be exact.
Our HQ was in corrugated iron WW2 Nissan hut behind Eltham Park Methodist Church.

There was ( and probably still is ) a running club named Eltham Puffers...

It was very frosty when I first got up but it has lifted rapidly over the last couple of hours and we now have cloud. Possibly a shower before much longer. A walk has been done.

It was frosty first thing here, but now the rain has started and is due to continue all day.
I'll do a session on the turbo this afternoon in the man cave
I'm off out with Millie shortly, we are meeting up with my mate and his mad Lurcher for a walk across the fields and a coffee and croissants in a cafe on the way.

Good morning, I spent the night dozing intermittently in a chair as Mrs Tkk had taken over the bed. She's a bit livelier this morning and has taken a few sips of coffee. It's lashing down and we have delivery of a Fridge Freezer scheduled for noon, rain is due to stop just before then. Kitchen is coming along, still a bare shell but the first fix electrics are done, the walls replastered and two coats of undercoat applied. We're still living in the lounge, and a trip to the launderette is due. Not done any running since Saturday, things are a bit too up in the air to focus at the moment, the training resumes next week.

Morning all.

Forecast is wet, and it is. Very gloomy with a strange tint of yellow in the atmosphere.

Treadmill, turbo, multi-gym & some minor DIY today. Plus, get bike ready for first ride of the year either tomorrow or Friday, actual day depends on a couple of domestic variables. Easy 20 miles planned.

Bit of a late night due tonight, looking forward to chilling.

Don’t think we are expecting any sun today: it’s grim out.
Glad we went to a pals yesterday to help her with her garden. I view it as the garden gym….& always enjoy a chance to use my pole trimmer/chainsaw - we cut & pruned enough to fill 3 garden bins 💪
Nice cuppa and some spiced raisin bread as a reward.
