Re the chips.
Are they frozen or do you cut the spuds up ?
I use frozen as its so much easier.
I like the Aldi "homebake" ones, they cook well.
A friend told to try the Aldi crinkle cut, so I did. They are imo not very nice.

I cut the chips from spuds ( roosters work well) and soak them in water for 30 mins , towel dry , 2 spoons of oil and stir them in bowel before putting in basket

I'm listening to Pink Floyd on YouTube and trying not to fall asleep
Curiously, back in the days when I flew places with work, I would use Pink Floyd albums to send me to sleep on the plane.
Wish You Were Here always nice to drift off to.

Afternoon beers were a good decision…done by 7, cheeky chip supper picked up on the way home, hangover cleared overnight 😜

I generally make chips from spuds
I used to use frozen for the ease of use but since I was told to cut out gluten I have found that most frozen chips are coated in flour
the main ones I used to use - I think it was Tesco premium own brand - actually had a very light batter apparently

so they are out - and the gluten free frozen chip come out soggy - which is clearly why they put the flour on them!!!

anyway - as said - chop spuds soak in water for a while - little bit of oil (I use a sprayer thing - but apparently it has to be pure oil for the air fryer and not the normal "Fry Lite" versions and they have an emulsifier that goes weird in the machine

they seem to to so pretty well - not as crispy as I would like but OK
As far as type of potatoes goes - I use golden somethingorother from ASDA
They used to sell them in Tesco but that have changed to something else that doesn;t chip well - seem OK for mash and boiling

I have gone off farm shop spuds and own brand ones because I have been getting loads that have been black but the time I get to use them
just since about last summer but I was chucking out half the ones from the Farm Shop and sometimes almost that from the own brand ones
