Morning all :hello:

Up early today. Mates coming round in an hour and then we're off to the Classic Bike show at Shepton Mallet. Will be a long day.
Mrs D said I shouldn't spend more than 2k.
I don't know whether she meant a target or a limit.

Good Morning All. The forecast is wall to wall sunshine, a high of 11⁰ and a 14mph westerly. I'm going to join one of the club rides at 9.00. I can't decide which; there's an easy 53 miles out to the coast, downside to this is we will be riding due west into the headwind. Someone will always say "it'll be on our backs on the way home." It never is, cycling doesn't work like that. It will probably be a slow ride. The other route heads more northerly and will benefit from a tail wind on the way out. This will be a faster, longer ride but it goes out through Leyland and Preston at 9.00 on a Saturday morning. That's 14/15 miles of traffic!!! Bonkers. Wrong route, wrong day.

I have a while to decide. More importantly I have to decide which base layer to wear?? Do I move from my cosy winter one or change to the new, untested spring one?? Decisions. Decisions. Decisions.

It was quiz night last evening. We came a very respectable third, only two points behind the winners. Good stuff. This afternoon I have a key safe to install on my allotment and want to move lots of stuff from my old shed into the new shed which I equipped with shelving yesterday.

I must go. Decisions to make. Tyres to inflate.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Cooooeee. 8 deg here and dry although we have severe weather warnings for wind and rain.

Another pottering day for me. I wonder how much glue and paint I can get on me today. I managed to get a blob of paint on my foot yesterday, and no, I have no idea how that happened.

Stay safe peeps :hello:

Morning. 8 degrees and dry here so feeling reasonably pleasant.

I took the car through to the next village and had a walk along a quiet little road there. Never saw anyone else. Just a few Buzzards, Red Kite and a herd of 6 Red Deer. Usually Roe Deer around here so it was quite unusual. Every one of them had an impressive set of antlers.

I don’t think in 25 years I’ve ever bought my wife an item of clothing. I struggle to choose clothes for myself let alone my stylish, glamorous wife!

Well, I have bought them, as in paid for them, but, choosing them, unsupervised! that would never be allowed.

There was one occasion, when we had gone away for a few days, staying in a hotel, and, wife, while soaking in the bath, realised she had not brought any knickers with her, I was despatched to find the nearest shop, and, buy a pack of knickers, that is the closest I have come to choosing her clothing.

At leat she knows what it is like at the coal face

I worry about people who say teaching is easy - just stand there and tell the kid swhat t do

Ohhhh - it is soo much more than that

even people who have come to a school and stood in front of a class and "taught" then stuff have been standing on bricks painfully crafted by other

Same a snew officer arriving in the Army and their NCO
and new PCs on the beat depending on the experienced constanbles who have been there for 20 years
and all that

anyway - after 1 1/2 bottle of wine I should probably shut up
but anyway

see you tomorrow - or later today

as you can see my typing is even worse
night night
It's early morning, not night!
Sleep deprivation can have that effect.
