Just been reading an articel about fires caused by air fryers

As I use one most days I thought I had better check it out

apparently most are caused by one of 2 things

a) people using the air fryer IN a cupboard
b) people using it on the hob and "accidentally" switching the hob on - and the fire brigade arrive to find a fire with a melted air fryer in the middle of it

WHAT??
how in the name of all the Gods and the little fairies did this race ever make if out of the trees???????

Just seen that on National News, they also mentioned that adding too much oil is often the reason for an air fryer fire. Since one of the advantages claimed for air-fryers is that you use less oil (more healthy), this seems that some people haven't understood 🙂

I would never do that, just take the money and treat it as a grant, where you only make a contribution to pay it back via a higher rate of tax when they earn over a certain salary threshold. The burden is not that great and in the end it’s written off.

I’d broadly agree with that view….but this wasn’t a big lump of his loan (the bulk being “Plan 2”), and it was increasing at 7.3%
Makes a big enough difference to his take-home to be worth sorting
Well, to us at least! 🤷‍♂️

Barnet,
Good morning all fellow retirees.
It's not quite so cold this morning.
We are off to Forty Hall for a walk with Millie, it has extensive grounds with woods and more importantly, a lovely cafe.
There is a good garden centre almost opposite, so I will get some bags of potting compost and some tomato seed to start getting ready for the growing season.
