I have been looking on Northampton local news site ( sad I know )and saw a report that caught my eye .😀
It was about a local parish councillor that had to resign as he was caught on camera trying to blow up a cat on his bird table . ( the cat unharmed and only had slightly singed whiskers luckily ).
So I was just wondering where @Drago is a councillor, I really hope it’s not whittlebury. 😂😀😀

Night night all .
This along with squeaky risers, which may fail to squeak, rise or both!!!! had me in gales of laughter.

ho ho ho. getting up.i pee every morning without fail at 06-30.

Sadly i don't wake up till 08-00.er i will get my coat.

I have both Netflix and Amazon Prime. I get them foc on the back of my family's subs. TBH I have just started to use prime and not used Netflix at all.
I was/am surprised that you have to pay extra to actually watch most of the films.
As an eg, I wanted to watch the Clint Eastwood trilogy but they all cost!!

Yup
I remember watching a few series - then a while later fancy watching them again only to find that they now have to be paid for

What??
I've already watched the damn things via this very "service"!

Especially with one SciFi series I have on DVD - except that I no longer have a DVD drive that works
so I have to PAY AGAIN to watch it on Prime

Good morning. A grey and damp day in north Manchester. #SP2 successfully risen, washed, dressed and delivered to nursery. I've had a tidy round for them as I thought that would be nice to come home to. I'm now rewarding myself with a cup of coffee from my son's excellent coffee machine. It's a Sage Bambino. I foresee an investment in the near future.

Next stop is Aldi and then a visit to Roma Caffe and Deli which a very reliable friend and cycling buddy promises me is very good. I will report back. This afternoon I have a session with my PT and hopefully time for a visit to my LBS to discuss new bike options........I'm favouring the respray option so I need to understand what can be done, timescales etc.

Not sure what I am doing today
the men put some chemicals down on the patio and drive last night - and warned up not to tread on it and then come indoors
looks like it is basically some kind of bleach/acid (yes - I know they are opposites)

so I am not keel on wheeling my bike out over it until they have rinsed it off!!
(probably won't damage the tyres but I'm not risking it rotting them!)

I'll be glad when they have gone!

Sony dvd players are still available for £30/40 .So this could be an option for you. We had a new one last year. 😀 The popularity of DVD seem to rising again, from a very low base though.

I believe on the other hand blue ray players are likely to be very difficult to get hold of soon as the last company making blue ray disks has closed/stopped making them.

My wonderful mate in Hunmanby got to his birthday yesterday,94 i think.I texted his daughter to see how they were getting on.His time is near. She said he was so thrilled to get a card from me.Can't believe how just spending a few quid on a card and stamp can bring enjoyment.

It doesn’t take much to give someone a bit of cheer. On my walks I know how much someone else just smiling and saying good morning makes me feel better.

Well this is a disappointment. The warning flag was up almost immediately....

"Flat white with oatmilk please"
"Is that small or large, sir" 🚩🚩🚩

There is no such thing as a small or large flat white. A Flat White is a Flat White. Size is not a discussion point. TBH it isn't even a decent coffee.

I order a Hot Sausage de Paris with mozzarella and mustard toastie. It's OK but no better than many cycling cafes I know that do a decent sausage barm for half the price.

I had planned to spend money in the deli section but the cafe quality makes the deli very questionable. It's very busy but no Italians.

Mind you Slattery's is just up the road!!! 🤣🤣

On the theme of irritating cafe-isms: ask for an Americano and you get asked back; "white or black?" :cursing:
