Today's a good day

The grandaughters were a dream this morning (sometimes they aren't 😀)

My wife got her PIP passed today and back dated, enhanced on both criteria.

We've just been to Lidl, not a shop we generally use and got some crusty rolls and ham, added some English mustard, it made a surprisingly good lunch.

The PIP is a big thing. Once you apply, it's inevitable you get your hopes up, then ironically, inevitably worry you won't get it. Thus causes some uncertainty and when we've had nothing but worry and uncertainty for the last 18 months or so.. something positive is enough to give her a lift, I can see it has, which is wonderful given the sea of carp we've dealt with.

Ive told her, this summer, we must get out, do more, go places, enjoy life a bit more.

I’ve had 3 bars of chocolate and a family size bag of crisps. The binge eating has taken over yet again.

Had to visit my little holiday house in the south east yesterday to repair a storm damaged and rotten fence at the back of my garden and worked from first light till 5.15 pm with only half hour break. I found it very hard and felt exhausted after it so decided to be bold and reward myself. With the best intentions in the world I bought some junk( but promised myself to restrain consumption). Willpower totally dissolved and I consumed a 4 pack of cadbury choc bars , 5 small orange kit kats . I large packet of crisps ( sour cream ) and a big tub of strawberry yoghurt plus 2 cans of Guinness and then fell asleep in front of the telly and woke up at 2 am thirsty as a desert camel and feeling guilty. I was emitting loud farts that even Drago would be proud of . Never again ! ( till the next time ).

I wouldnt. Any price rises irks me a bit but £1.50 a week for what Netflix has to offer is cheap really isn't it ?
I have both Netflix and Amazon Prime. I get them foc on the back of my family's subs. TBH I have just started to use prime and not used Netflix at all.
I was/am surprised that you have to pay extra to actually watch most of the films.
As an eg, I wanted to watch the Clint Eastwood trilogy but they all cost!!

I’ve got both and much prefer Netflix selection of films/series. Any I’ve tried lately on Amazon have been pure dross. They seem to get the occasional decent thing, but you really have to trawl through everything to find it.

Have I got it right that you have to pay for each film ?
Watch eg one film each day and it soon mounts up.

Not if you have Prime. They have ads now though which is annoying so you have to pay extra to have them removed if you want.

With Prime, you need to pay for some of the films & box sets.. Most are 'free' apart from the monthly subscription cost.
It's also handy for free delivery of Ama zon goodies under £21

Interesting trip to B&M then MrsPete popped into Poundland for a couple of bits & pieces..
B&M: Security person corralling a male yoof back into the shop as he was, allegedly, shoplifting..
Poundland: Lady exiting quite speedily and legging it across the car park with the staff, according to MrsPete, saying, "Oh well.. We can't do anything about it when people thieve"

We have Prime. Mrs P buys a lot from Amazon meaning the free delivery is worthwhile. I find some films, usually the dross, are free, anything decent is around £3.49.

I agree Netflix is generally far better than Amazon plus it's all inclusive.
