Evening all .
Had a busy day for me. Took the car to be serviced and MOTed . Mrs exlaser then picked me up and we took our daughter to and from a job interview. Then because she was running late we took her to work . We then had a late lunch and had for a walk in the park before i had to pick my car and then go back up to pick up my daughter after work .
The good thing about all this running about was between each journey a stop at a coffee shop was required . The bad thing is I am now £310 worse off and no I didn’t spend that on coffee 😂.
( Just for comparison my last main dealer service and mot last year was £390 😀 )

Here in Oz any qualified mechanic is able to service your car without voiding the warranty. The dealers have had to reduce their old eye watering prices.

Maybe they'll end up doing the same here.
I’m sure you can here as long as it’s a VAT registered garage following the manufacturers recommendations and using genuine parts

Possible, but manufacturers don't like giving up their sole right to provide service for their products.

It's the same in the UK and EU. Provided servicing is carried out by qualified mechanics using OEM parts etc. as required by the manufacturer the warranty remains valid.
As I understand it this only applies to basic servicing while the vehicle is under original new car warranty. Outside of this for extended warranty etc. main dealer servicing may be required.
Finance and lease agreements may require main dealer servicing.

Good morning. The Met Office tells me it should be persisting down. It isn't which is a good thing as I have a guy coming to prepare the pad for our new summer house/shed.
That aside it's #1SP day and this evening the slightly mighty Rovers are at home to the even less mighty Coventry City. My boys are in danger of letting our promotion chances slip. We need more consistency after losing to the hardly mighty at all Oxford on Saturday.
