Morning. Still mild but very windy with some drizzle blowing through. Getting fed up of the dark mornings but I find it‘s at least the end of January before I start noticing it getting slightly lighter in the morning.

How'd you stub your toe, on the bed, taking the bins out?

FHS. I got out of bed.
I put on my slippers.
I went out to the bins
I started pushing bin #1 down the drive.
One of the concrete slabs in the drive is higher than the first one.
I stubbed my toe through my slipper on the raised section. It hurt.

You have to be careful where you get your caged tanks from. Some contain quite nasty chemicals.

If I lived nearer I would apply to join.

Our wives started going away together on Spa weekends and longer trips abroad, Rome, Barcelona, Madrid etc.
So after a number years we started doing the same. Hence the escape committee was formed.

The Welsh Water website estimate that 40 000 homes are without water so far and it could be days before water supply is restored fully.
We have a Combi boiler and would like to know if we can still use the central heating without running water?
Obviously, using hot water is a no go.

Morning all

Making a start on my new project this morning.
First job is to do a quick assessment of what I've got. I heard it running before I bought it so I know it's basically sound.
I'll drop the engine out next and strip it, then I'll start on the cosmetics. Should keep me occupied for a good while.

One of the mudguards on my trailer decided to fall off somewhere between Bideford and Watchet, so that's another job for later. I need to fabricate a new mounting bracket and weld it to the trailer frame, then find another mudguard - I think I've got a spare one in my garage.

MrsD has got a docs appointment at 2pm for a check up, so it will be a late lunch down in town today.

Good morning, the boiler firing up at 06:00 failed to wake me this morning and Mrs Tkk had already made the coffee by the time I woke ☕️.
Off into Poole soon as Mrs Tkk has an early eye test.

Yes. Heating is a separate, pressurised system.
