There has been a main water burst today and we are lucky to still have running water but with a lot less pressure. All the villages around us have none. People were panic buying again and all the shops have run out of drinking water.
Apparently, a pipe, 2 metres under the river has burst so it will take a few days to fix it as they will need to detour the river. Big job then.
In case it affects us tomorrow , we have filled all sorts of recipients with water and two buckets full in the bathroom for the toilet, just in case.

When full we have three 1,200 litre rain water tanks for the garden that we can use.
Also in case of local main bursts which are unfortunately rather frequent found here the repair trucks carry supplies of bottled water to hand out to residents in need.

Everyone needs priority lists eg favourite spice, favourite beer, favourite women that wear bloomers.

Foggy ride around Pitsford Reservoir this afternoon. I did have my lights on in case any joggers or doggers came looming out of the mist..

Was it muddy ? Last time I rode round, which was this time last year . ( My wife wanted some company as she tested out her new gravel bike. I got totally covered in mud , it was especially bad on the section by the pumping station. . 😀

You have to be careful where you get your caged tanks from. Some contain quite nasty chemicals.

It was a bit muddy but I've known it be worse!
