I was amazed when I got up

or more accurately - was got up by the grand kids

WE HAS SNOW!!!

the kids are amazed and want to build a snowman - but the eldest hasn;t brought and gloves!

dunno

more worried by the lack of light first thing - they came back because I found the contact breaker had tripped
then went again
I have switched the outside light off and they are staying on now - so s fact to file away for now

anyway - little one wants toast in the shape of a bus so I had better get moving!!!

Go on... I'll show you mine if you show me yours!

Here I am looking wistfully out to sea.

Morning folks :okay: another day in the freezer and wish my trainer was connected to a generator so i could spin up some heat. Am trying to reach a 30 min maintainable 200 watts....all that power going to waste, if it was stored i could get off the trainer and boil the kettle for free
Walking the beach yesterday i noticed my footprints werent symmetrical, my left foot stays straight [ish] and my right foot sticks out a inch or two to the right. Have juggled my right toeclip to a slightly oblique angle to suit- seems to work ok I did wonder if any cyclists having problems with set up, a walk in snow/sand can reveal there natural footfall which could be relevant.:okay:

We used socks on our hands as we were too poor to have gloves...

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
For some reason, apart from cycling, I’m not that keen on wearing gloves even although I get cold hands. I am inclined to pull my sleeves down over my hands when it’s cold outside.

If its cold in my car, I wear fingerless gloves. Nice and warm but I can still feel the steering wheel

Having a flat roof on the extension amplifies the apparent severity of the rain. At the moment it relentless and wind driven, with the shrubs in the garden in constant movement. The camera monitoring "Hog House 1" has a smeary lens from all the rain, and the wood mice nesting underneath HH1 only ventured forth once during the night. The wood mice under HH2 didn't show at all, perhaps put off by a visit from a young cat who has recently started visiting our garden. The rain is due to ease about lunchtime, I plan to head out then.
In a sort of related topic, I saw a photo ( or artists impression, I'm not sure ) of the new Everton stadium, it looks very close to the water. ( The Cherries 🍒 beat the Toffees 🍬 at the footie yesterday, a sweet result 😁 )
