Stupid me. I've just got a letter from Chase Farm hospital saying they have been trying to contact me about an appointment for my knee replacement.
Looking back through the call log on my phone I have 3 missed calls and two voice mails from before Christmas.
I'll have to call them first thing Monday morning to talk to them. Doh.🤦‍♂️

Did the 3rd ride in Madagascar for a Rouvy challenge. I won’t be in a hurry to ride there again. What a state their roads are. This is one of the better sections!

My wife's aunt had £100K in the bank when she went into a care home 12 months ago, she has zilch now, wiped out.

I appreciate your sentiment, but I'm not sure how we can be any more 'careful' than we already are/have been.

It’s an interesting country. Lots of people walking, cycling on old bikes and pushing trolleys along the roads at points. I am presuming it’s quite a poor country?

I think I will go and watch the new Wallace and Gromit film before tea. Seems to get good reviews. I do quite enjoy the occasional animated film.

Bit of a surprise:

A few days ago I picked up some new glasses from Specsavers. Some quite funky ones from Superdry (Japanese outfit).

Not megabucks but they look pretty cool and are well made.

Decent price of £210.

However, delivery was delayed by a fortnight and I had a very apologetic phone call from the manager complete with a promise of some compensation.

I thought I would get £10 refunded tbh.

Imagine my shock when they refunded me £80!

I was gobsmacked. Great service!

I used to work in a large IT department and we had one "Head of IT" that I wouldn;t trust with a calculator!!!

As always some people are great at being promoted - other great at getting the work done
