What a difference a nap makes. 45 minutes flat out. Woke up ready for action and straight into my exercise routine........which I was trying to dodge earlier. Feeling very good.

Next task is flapjack and I have suspicion I'm expected to make tea. I think I should probably just do that without asking. We will have chilli con carne. I'll offer a choice of baked potato or rice.

But first I have to find the serial numbers for my wheel set. For your next challenge rearrange the following into a well known phrase ........like it's haystack a bloody for looking needle a in 🤣

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
From what I'm reading @welsh dragon and @Mo1959 could set a small outlet selling jeans and shoes!

I'm trying to be a good girl. I haven't bought ANY jeans for at least 9 months now. However, I have bought a few new blouses and jumpers during that time. To be fair, some of my old things are just that, old and I needed to buy things that suited me better.

The draw is on the 2 Jan

OK - already closed though

Have won £20 on the RAF lottery draw - always feel guilty about that because I was looking for a donation thing at an air show but only found a bloke selling the RAF lottery stuff
It is part of the Armed Forces Lottery but going via the RAFA means they get more from it. I do it because they helped by Dad a lot when he was getting worse (for more than the LA who were supposed to do it!!!)

Still £20 is £20

And so you should. We're all at the stage of life when we should enjoy whatever we wish and can afford.

I've had a bit of an about face on this. I've always been concerned I might run out of money. I know I won't till I reach 100......and let's face it....

Since Mrs P became ill I've decided to spoil myself - it's enjoying life not spoiling. I'm going to chuck a load of cash at a new road bike. I don’t need it but it will bring me pleasure, and God knows I need that.

The kids will get the house.

Similar here.

Accruing even more money became academic many years ago.

We can afford to buy what we want when we want. But... we really don't want much at all so we rarely spend big, just top-ups of life's essentials is all we do tbh.

Our kids will be very lucky when we have gone. Our house is worth a fair chunk and they will also get more money than the house is worth too.

Good luck to them too, as parents who left kids behind during cessation of previous marriages we see this as a bit of a conscience salve. They are not in careers with hefty pensions but we take some comfort that they will not have a poverty ridden old age coming their way.

Be careful.
My wife's aunt had £100K in the bank when she went into a care home 12 months ago, she has zilch now, wiped out.
