Good day all.
No sign of the storm here as yet.
Awake at 5 again so got up.
So, today........
Listen to SoTS with Tony Blackburn.
Put a loaf on to bake.
My Bro is visiting at lunch time and we will watch the Lpool vs Everton game (hence the fresh loaf).
No other plans.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Coooeeee. We are in the dark. The power has gone off. I have no idea how long it's been down. Luckily I have a power pack so I have plugged the Internet into it.

I will start a fire as well so that I can have a cup of coffee. Can't do without my coffee:laugh:

The wond isn't too bad here, then again we are protected by a ruddy big hill so that helps. I think the worst is yet to come for us.

Stay safe peeps. :hello:

Are you in the red area? Sounds bad.

Just a bit blowy up here. Looks like Scotland is missing the worst for a change.

Hope our silly government never go ahead with their silly idea of stopping people having fires. Just shows they are still necessary for times like this.

Stop fires and cows farting but happy to allow this as it makes so much money.

Sounds a bit scary! Is it a big power pack you have, I've seen some that have a couple of normal power outlets on them but they tend to cost serious money.

Your right there. We are all electric so without the wood burner we would be well and truly stuffed. So baked potatoes it is today. 😆

Good morning all.
It's a bit wild and windy at the moment with heavy rain.
I didn't get home from the Velodrome until 00.40 this morning, so feeling a little jaded. I need more tea.
Definitely not a cycling day today.
More like a staying in armchair sports day, although millie will need to go out across the fields for a while.
Stay safe everyone.

Morning all :hello:

Staying in today as the storm is bringing trees down.
The road to Bridgwater is blocked, so we are effectively cut off from civilisation.
Our biggest tree, about 60 - 70 feet tall at the end of the front garden, is bending all over the place but it's healthy so I think it will be OK.

We are about 1/4 mile inland from the beach and in the red zone - so were having a bit of a battering at the moment. Currently 76mph but should ease off a bit by this afternoon. Yet to check to see if my greenhouse is still intact.
