Morning all :hello:

Removed the crank and bottom bracket off the Specialized Hardrock that was brought round yesterday.
Bottom bracket is knackered and the pedal thread on the drive side is stripped. New parts on the way.
Kids don't look after their bikes, do they?
I was always taught to maintain my bikes when I was young.
Now they just abuse them and buy a new one when they break.

Good morning all, mild but wet here, looks like showers for the morning.

We celebrated St Andrew’s Day with a Blazin’ Fiddles concert in town last night, this is a regular thing they’ve been doing on said day for the last few years. Previous special guests we’ve seen have been Dougie Maclean and Justin Currie. Yesterday was Karen Matheson. All most enjoyable.

Viewed from the bus, couldn’t believe how many houses are already resplendent with Christmas trees !

Good morning all.
Family is out for lunch later as its my Son I Laws birthday**.
A question, how come I have a son in law who is in his late 50s, that surely can't be right.
** lfc host Man City at 15.30, I really hope I am back home for that.
I'd be stomping my feet if I was you and there was a risk of not getting back. A win for your boys will have a huge impact on the season.

Good luck. I'll be rooting for you.

Good morning. Geez this site is hard work at the moment. Is anyone else finding that after they've posted, the post appears but the same text is still in the text box as though waiting to be posted?

Well, today. I feel much better than when I went to bed tired and full of cold. My plan was to take the bike out for an hour's shakedown ride. It's peeing down here.

#2 son's birthday so we have a family day lined up. #3 son, DIL, #1 small person and #3 small person aren't coming..........seems reasonable as DIL only got home yesterday and the baby is about 42 hours old. 🤣

Time to bend, stretch and exercise my body. Catch you all later.

A BBC news flash came up as I was about to log off.

Greg Wallace "Now, in the newspaper I can see the complaints coming from a handful of middle-class women of a certain age just from Celebrity MasterChef."

Does this man not understand? What an appalling, disgusting attitude and opinion to hold of women. To my mind these remarks demonstrate he's clearly an unreconstucted man with no understanding of or empathy for the challenges women face in society. If he's found "guilty" I hope this ends his career.

Rant over. Sorry.

The phrase, "When in a hole, stop digging", comes to mind.
