Pork and stuffing sandwiches today. Its shopping day tomorrow but we won't be going anywhere due to all the flooding.

I walked up to the Co-op for a few things. The wind is still blowing and making it feel chillier than the temperature is.

Not sure what’s for lunch. Maybe soup. I found some nice soup in cartons in the Co-op that I enjoy…..Chicken and Vegetable and Carrot and Coriander. Nice and thick and filling.

Busy day today.

Ear wax removal - done!

Opticians to collect new glasses.

Jewellers to collect more modern wedding ring.

Screwfix to collect 2 x 2 gang 2 way outside light switches + glands, screws & plugs.

Have a look around Kendal to decide where we will have lunch when friends come up from Preston next week.

I have slightly breached the upper limit of my ideal weight range parameters (168-175 lbs) due to some naughty eating last night. So it's go easy for me for the rest of the week. 🫢

I got a carton of carrot and coriander soup from Aldi, I have yet to try it.

Barnet,
The dog has been walked, the washing is drying on the line. It is quite sunny with a gentle breeze.
My greenhouse/coldframe blew over last night, I have managed to rescue most of the plants, but my lavender cuttings have all gone somewhere.
It really needs replacing as it was getting a bit rotten, and the cover was letting in the rain. I shall wait until the spring now.

I liked Caernarfon when I used to holiday down there many years ago. Is it still nice, or has it got a bit run down like most towns these days?

I haven't lived in Caernarfon since 1986 so, like all major towns, it has changed a bit since then but still is a historical place to visit. My SIL says that Portmadoc is a nicer town. Bangor, on the other hand, is nowhere near as good as it used to be. There are many shops closed in the main street and the place feels soul less . I suppose it is a sign of the times, on line shopping and retail parks are killing town centres, together with lack of parking spaces too.

If I’m remembering correctly there was a huge beach at Porthmadog where they let you park on the sand at one time. No doubt that will have stopped due to H & S. Black Rock beach?
