I will make Mr WD go out and get some more
You'd wake someone up, just to do that?

I meant to say, yesterday so workmen were on the land out the front doing some work on the drains.

It was bitter out so I bimbled across and offered them a cup of tea. I got chatting to them and they showed me what they were doing- there's a 3.5 metre diameter storm drain down there, andnthey weremdoing some prep work to take off a branch to a baffle pond that's being built. Honest, you could drive a Volvo along it and it's right under my driveway.

That'd be mean.
Suppose he woke you to do the same?

Afternoon all . It’s positively tropical today here in Coventry , it’s up to 13 degrees lol . It’s also slightly wet and very windy . 😀.
I don’t think we are doing much today . Mrs exlaser is feeling under the weather with some kind of virus. Tbh I am not feeling on top form myself . I still manage to walk to Lidl to get croissants and a baguette for breakfast though . 😀

@PaulSB do you know the Blackburn game has been called off.

Yes, thanks, Dave. I knew there was one set for 11.00 so we kept an eye on it for my lad who was travelling up from Manchester.

I'm annoyed because it's one of very few games called off. Preston and Bolton are both going ahead. Same weather. The drainage issues at Ewood have existed for decades. The river Darwen runs behind the Riverside stand. The pitch drains into the river. When there's a lot of rain the river rises and the pitch can't drain properly.

Quite disgraceful in truth.
