Good morning all, cold and windy here. Staying dry for now.

A few random facts about Dunfermline. It’s abbey was founded by Queen, later Saint, Margaret, the Saxon queen of Malcolm III. She was also buried there. Most of Robert the Bruce is also buried there. Charles I was born there, the last Scottish or UK monarch to have been born in Scotland. It’s most famous son is Andrew Carnegie who made a huge fortune in America and donated large parts of it to good causes. Hence the Carnegie Hall in New York and its namesake in Dunfermline.

Was it not considered the capital of Scotland as well at one time?

Good day people. It's cold, -4⁰ in the backyard, around 20⁰ in my bed. Toasty. Not a lot on that needs doing really. I have to contact Leigh Day, the BC solicitors, handling my PI claim. This afternoon I'm going to Canasta and Bridge club.

Lancashire Police recently wrote to me to say the tractor driver was charged with "due care and attention" and accepted and attended the offer of a Diversionary Course. I think I'm correct that accepting the course is not an admission of guilt. I feel it should be and in truth it's blindingly obvious by agreeing to attend the course one is admitting responsibility for one's actions. An admission of guilt would help the PI claim, hopefully the DC has a similar effect.

The same letter also offered me trauma counselling and support. It's 22 weeks since the crash. A little earlier might have been more use.

In other news, #1SP built a snow person here on Tuesday. He has gone blind, his eyes have fallen out. The good news is he can still smell as the carrot is still in place!!!

For my sins I didn't realise that Dunfermline was only about half an hour on the train from Edinburgh. I will have a wander round next time we're visiting our daughter.

Looks damn cold outside

We had some of that snow that looks like hail at some point last night - it did make the path far more grippy when I was putting the bin out
which was a surprise!

Doctor appointment this afternoon - need to find out what the **** is going on
lots of diagnosis - very little in terms of gradeing (i.e. where am I from "you've got just enough time to write a quick will" to "don;t worry - just keep to the diet a bit")
and stuff

otehr than that

Let Joy Be Unconfined
it is time to hoover out filters from the air purifiers!!!!

anyway - probably some painting as well - I did mention a bike ride but
a) it looks to slippy
and
b) SWMBO pointed out that asthma and freezing air and breathing heavily are not a good mix

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I have just treated myself to a new tablet. Samsung Galaxy S9 46% off in the black Friday sale on amazon. £499 Plus Extra for case.

My old Samsung is 4 years old now, the battery isn't good and I'm running out of memory.

I might as well spend the money. It isn't doing any good in the bank and I can't take it with me.
