I've just made coffee, Mrs Tkk is still slumbering. She likes her coffee scalding hot so I daresay I shall have to pop downstairs and nuke it once she does surface.
In other news I have just been quoted over £700 to change our ten way fuse board for a more modern one 😮 have I lost touch?

Morning folks :okay: went on my first group ride yesterday and really enjoyed it ^_^ a very diverse range of bikes and riders attended but most leaned towards offroading....so thats my next project, obtaining a cheap mtb so i can do rides on rough terrain. I do find cyclists interesting to talk to....ive always had a liking for eccentric individualistic species and being an odd ball myself i feel right at home!

Good Morning. I have been awake for far too long but no worries. Mrs P is out all day........at some point I will sneak back to bed for an hour or so. It is clear, skies are blue and the sun is on its way. A beautiful autumn day is approaching. The perfect start to the day?
  1. Sunshine
  2. Put the coffee on
  3. Boil eggs for 3 minutes 25 seconds
  4. Make toast, spread with homemade marmalade
Today all four aligned. The sun is rising. The coffee was hot and just the right strength. Eggs perfect, a firm white and soft runny yolk, the consistency that slowly runs down the egg shell. Toast sufficiently warm to soften but not melt the butter spread with delicious marmalade. Yummy.

Next it will be exercises, housework and prepare a fish pie for tea..................and of course a nap

Morning all :hello:

Off to Wells in a couple of hours for the carnival.
We shall go straight to the Hunters Lodge pub for lunch, then on to the very nice B&B where we stayed last year. Coming back on Saturday. Looking forward to the short break.

You know who else used to quote Friedrich Nietzsche..........

Good morning all, nothing planned today but yesterday we had an enjoyable day out in Dundee on the train. The line goes across the Forth Bridge of course then gives fabulous views across the Forth as it runs along the Fife coast for several miles. And then more fabulous views as it crosses the Tay to reach Dundee. Having alighted, our first stop was the V&A Museum on the waterfront just next to the station, lots of interesting design exhibits including, I was surprised to see, a Movistar skinsuit by Endura, dating back to Alex Dowsett’s hour record. We found that the V&A also has a fabulous cafe, great food and great views. We’d go back if only for the cafe alone. We then walked next door to the RRS Discovery and its museum, telling the story of Captain Scott’s first antarctic expedition, the one where they were trapped in the ice for two years (!) but eventually made it back. A fascinating visit. That just left time for a short wander along the waterfront and around some of the shopping streets before the 15:10 train back to Waverley, nicely timed for spectacular views of the sunset across the Forth. We discovered that there is plenty more to see there so we will definitely be making further visits.
