Night night everyone. 😀

That really is a nice bike cables you can see Helps when a cable change required Mudguard eyes . Great.

Edit I admit I’m perhaps somewhat of a dinosaur.I was just skimming through cycling weekly,a mag l no longer buy on Redily. As usual wheels cost twice the price of my Sid Motram.1958 That bike took me Youth Hosteling Club runs with Loughborough C T C Rough stuff rides. The occasional Soar Valley Road club evening time trial .It seems that you now need three bikes to meet your cycling needs.Times have changed.cubs close to me seem to be half day affairs and you have to make sure they have snow drop policy.Someone I was talking to me he had an unpleasant experience. He was dropped on a hill and struggled to keep the pace.At the cafe stop it was made pretty clear he wouldn’t be welcome on next weeks ride.He abandoned the ride at the cafe stop

Times I know have changed as have road conditions and time available I am old enough to remember when cycling weekly was about cycling in general not just high priced bikes and components. There was always a Johnny Helms cartoon featuring Bonk and Baz
I have somewhere a book of his cartoons.

I stopped getting the comic 20 years ago, most of its readership nowadays wouldn’t know it as the comic.

Did you mean "no drop" policy?
I would not like to ride with a group like that either.

Started young, and still going.
Location
Barnet,
Good morning all.
A tad cool outside, but not so misty and grey as previous mornings.
Our daughter is calling in around lunchtime and our son will be calling in on his way home from the Spurs game this afternoon.
Before then though will be the usual dog walk and I'll get out for a hour or so on the bike.

Had an interesting experience today. When I arrived at the meeting place for the club ride my front tyre was soft and rapidly deflated. Removed the tube and tried to inflate it to find the leak so I could check the tyre for foreign bodies but it was deflating quicker than I could get air into it. Finding nothing in the tyre I replaced the tube then tried inflating the offending tube again. This time it stayed up and no one in the club could find a leak. Decided it must have been some dust/grit preventing the Presta valve from sealing.
