My Aldi dash was good. There was a good offer on a Chardonnay, £8.99 down to £4.99. Hardly anyone else shopping and I was the only one at the till.
Then, to top it all, as I got back in the car Bruce Springsteen was just starting up with Born to Run....... VOLUME UP, so a good trip all round.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I am nearly out of bed, I am off to Skeggy today but will let the dog lift first.

The dog? And I thought I was the one who did that

That's it. I am well and truly tired of painting now. One of three parts of the ceiling has had it's first coat.

Looks like we are in for rain as well.

And it looks like the road will finally be open probably tomorrow. They hope to move the trains tody and inspect the rails then it will be open until Wednesday when it will be closed for another 7 weeks.

I can see me doing a big shop on Monday.

I've just read that because of the problems, they won't be doing the repairs now until January

Is it the Railway or the road that will be closed for 7 weeks.?

Some good news.
There's a lorry fire on the M5 and they've closed it.
Stadtler & Waldorf are stuck on the motorway and will be delayed by a couple of hours.

So - we get an extra hour in bed on Sunday - OK

However, turns out that we are having the grand kids overnight on Saturday so their parents can go to a wedding fair on Sunday
(not sure why all this wedding stuff is so complicated but I suspect it is something to do with her being the older sister and the younger one is getting married soon after!!!)

anyway - that means that we have the kids on Sunday morning - and kids are not famous for sleeping in much when the clocks change

wonder why they choose THIS weekend???

I think we have been suckered!!!

I will give that a secret 'like' as I can't take the smell of fish pie** and I don't like swede.
** if it makes any sense I like fish but fish pie is just too fishy.

When I was younger and I heard of fish pie I thought it was fish in pastry and I thought xx( when I found out it was pototes I loved it
as for swede that is one on my loved veggie, but I hate cooking it it is all the prep. It's bloody hard to cut up in to small pieces and seems to take forever, what I do now it I batch cook a whole swede and make individuals portions for the freezer.

Update:
Stadtler and Waldorf are still stuck on the motorway.
In the meantime I've had a nap and then given the Bantam front mudguard and wheel a lick of paint.
I've used smooth Hammerite and, considering how rusty they were, I'm quite pleased with the colours and finish.

I'm beginning to flap a bit.

Looked on the NHS app to see if my test results are back and the note from the GP that saw me says "suspected urological cancer."

Got my private scan tomorrow, NHS one on the 4th and then a consultation with a surgeon on the 5th. I mean, holy Starmer, this is a bit of a mind foxtrot.

might be nothing at all , worrying is something you can't avoid though . Hope all is well and false alarm
