My memory on Facebook today from just 3 years ago. Must have still had some cycling mojo then but it’s sadly disappeared.

But, what, like me, you really enjoy the working part as much, if not more, sometimes than the other bits? Find a job you really enjoy and then you will never work again. I deliberately did not book anything today. Dent wise, I am already wishing I had.

Can't answer that. My job was quite high pressure 1st as European sales manager then starting off my own company.
I retired, walked away and never once looked back.
But some things still apply, if the sh*t hits the fan you don't want to be looking back thinking "I wish".
I did qualify my post by saying it was only my opinion.

Despite having owned my own businesses now for over 48 years I get very little pressure, luckily I have managed to make things that way, I can imagine any stress, pressure, boredom or dislike of the job would want you to pack it in. I get people saying I should pack up and enjoy life, I do enjoy it normally and fit a lot into each day even now.

I would have owned a European Distributing business was it not for a certain vote a few years back, as it is I only own the UK distribution part, I enjoy the customerchat and banter of that one. deltakits.net.

By coincidence that is what I am thinking of.
Mine will be on seeded bread.
I will have brown sauce....what will you have ?

Thanks for planting that seed in my brain, I am trying to put off having breakfast at home and go out for it.

Right @classic33 time to earn your money.
Last night's vivid dream..... so real that when I woke it took me a few seconds to realise it wasn't real.
I had been chosen to go on a space mission, a visit to the moon, along with 3 other members of the public.
I was to be picked up at my house at 1730 Thursday. So.. there I was, in town at 1630 when I remembered so had to get home quickly.
A problem was I was desperate for a pee and couldn't find a toilet so ended up in a public car par peeing against the wall while explaining to people "sorry, but I have to be home by 1730 as I am flying to the moon.
Anyway, I made it back In time and was taken to the rocket and got in.
Strange thing...... we got no training and wore just my jeans and open necked shirt.
At that point I woke up
Ohh yes... I was picked up at 1730, was going to the moon but would be back by 0730 the next morning.... which is not bad going.
Now, if a dream only last split seconds how did I fit all that in ?

You've not paid yet.

Did you see and/or recognise either of the other two people you were going to go with?

Space is an unknown area, limitless and often within yourself. In which you are uncertain of what is going to happen. You're feeling vulnerable, aware that there's people watching you and you're uncomfortable/not happy with that. Represented by your public "act of rebellion". That you keep on telling/explaining to people why you are doing it is further evidence of this.
This act completed, you go revert to worrying about something that bothers you. That you were aware of a time constraint demonstrates that you are working to someone else's schedule.

You fear the unknown that you know you'll be facing, with as you say no training, this possibly with two people you might know. Further symbolised by the rocket, which symbolises a determination/desire to get on with whatever you are doing, even if you are uncertain about what that is.
Was it Thursday gone, or Thursday coming. If it was Thursday gone, work back to the times you gave and see what you were doing. If it's Thursday coming be wary at the times given.

How do you know you'd be back for 0730 the following morning? Was this something said to you by person(s) unseen? Further evidence of working to someone else's timetable.

As for the time compression, there is a theory that time ceases to exist in dreams. Whilst some older cultures say that time slows down, and that they can control time in their dreams.

There is one other possibility

Good morning all from a warm and sunny Corfu.
The daughter's wedding went off extremely well and my Father of the Bride speech went down well with some laughter in all the right places.
We're catching the local bus this morning and going into Kassiopi, a little town up the coast which I haven't been to for 40 years, I wonder if has changed out of all recognition?
This is the view from our balcony.
The White House at the end of the bay, which was the wedding venue was where Gerald Durrell, the naturist and author lived as a boy in the 1930's.

I'm glad it all went well!

When mini D was a toddler she would only eat chicken.

One day I managed to persuade her to try gammon. She clearly liked it, but the illogical part or her young mind told her it wasn't chicken so she couldn't eat it.

I told her it was the very rare Samoan pink chicken, and she fell for it.

As she's got older she's moved on from Samoan pink chicken, to Northubrian streaky chicken, AKA bacon.
