I’m curious what peoples views are on this. I find the habit so many have got into of posting such personal stuff on social media a bit hard to get my head round but it seems to be getting more and more common.

I had heard there was a fatal accident just a few miles out the road yesterday.

Would any of you have put a post like this on Facebook in similar circumstances?

Clearly someone who is suffering immense grief and, especially if social media is part of her life, it may be the natural 'turn to' channel to express her appreciation to a wide audience. Simple & effective.

She may do something more personal and direct once her thoughts & emotions have stabilised.

We all have different personalities which affect how we act in this type of situation. Some people are naturally 'closed' or 'slow reveals' whereas others are 'open books' from the off. I think this would have some bearing.

The post is not what everyone would do but we are all so very different.

What a distressing and sad position to be in.

I feel the same. If she wanted to thank emergency services, surely better to do it direct.

Agree.

I got one after my run this morning. Finally shifted after taking a sumatriptan and lying down. Bloody hate them

Both feeling rough here.

Achy and snuffly. Unusually going to have a very early night.

Not connected to above aches & pains but Sumatriptan in tablet form flattens me for a couple of days. Not so bad with the nasal inhaler.
