It's very quiet here and not much happening, I've cleaned the carpets and tidied up.
I was going to go out, but Amazon just told me I have a parcel coming this afternoon.
It's a Lakeland....No not the terrier 🐶, but my slow cooker, now I wonder what my first meal will be ?

I had to get my daughter to clear all my wife's clothes and jewelry.......too painful to do it myself.
Have you got anyone that can help you sort things out ?

I have, luckily, sons and daughter-in-laws. I am managing to go through the kitchen, bathroom and other assorted cupboards and drawers, I must admit to bursting into tears at least ten times this morning. I feel it is important for me to keep busy, the evenings are horrible though, same for you, I guess.

I also think that my brain has been removed and replaced with fudge, not sure what is happening there, also whose voice am I speaking with, sure does not sound like mine.

Yes. I realise this section is not the place as imo it's supposed to be light hearted and it has helped me a lot......even that wicked Welsh woman ^_^ .
I will say, that everything you say is what I am going through and it hurts so much.
Feel free to pm me if you wish.

I'm glad you both have someone to talk to. :okay:

And of course I will continue to be a source of amusement to you:laugh:

I think this section is very much the right place tbh. Illness is pretty much a given of retired life and death certainly is.

It's as good a place as any to share, grieve and vent, imo.

Home insurance.
We all expect these things to rise but this is unbelievable.
I have insured through Sainsburys for a few years.
Just had my renewal letter.
Last year £230
This year £650
Do they really expect me to accept that?

I have got battered cod fillets or fish fingers to choose from. Maybe with chips or just bread n butter...... big decisions.
