Car given a quick wash since it is so nice. I noticed when I drove past the park earlier it was mobbed so I'll avoid an afternoon walk.

Mug of peppermint tea and a browse for an hour. Might do a jigsaw

I'm still waiting.
So tired
Tired of waiting
Tired of waiting for pies.
Now they're his pies
And he can do what he wants
Do as he likes but please don't keep me waiting.

Sorry, got carried away.
I stepped on board a vision and I followed with a will
Till next I came to anchor at the cross at the foot of the hill
The young, the old, the brave and the bold, came their
Duty to fulfill
At the parish church with Clooney, a mile from the foot of the hill

I went to see me neighbors, to see what they might say
The old ones were all dead and gone, the young one's
Turning grey

I have one....love it for curries etc. No idea how you would do pies in it though.
I like the flavour of lamb but don't like fat. The slow cooker melts all the fat which gives you more flavour.

Hi Dave I was looking at doing stews, currys ect for the filling
My last lot of pies were beef and took a lot of cooking as I bought stewing steak it would have been better if I made it in a slow cooker by all accounts and of course I would not have to be standing around it for hours, put it on and go out.

In that case it's a no brainer.
You can use cheaper cuts of meat and it all turns out tender and tasty.
Sometimes it is best to quickly brown/seal the meat first. Same with the onions, mushrooms and peppers etc. Chuck them all in with your seasoning and tinned tomato etc.
I do mine for 6 hours.
I have curries and chilli in the freezer. Yummy.
My tip......buy some slow cooker liners. They are cheap and make it so much easier to clean up.

I love my slow cooker especially for casseroles. Brown everything off then put it in the cooker and leave it for 5 or 6 hours. Curries, chilli etc it would be great.
