Pleasant 16 mile double circuit of Pitsford Reservoir with mates this afternoon, plus a chance meeting with two other friends (one of whom I've not seen for about!) 12 years...
Chips, tea & mango ice cream at the café and lots of flies to eat on the way round 😂

SWMBO went out with her friend this afternoon so I went for a ride

21 miles along the canals and stuff

I was a hero!!!

I saved a poor besieged bloke who was getting mobbed by duck - and 2 geese
the woman with him was sitting on the bench with her feet up on the bench - he was standing in front of it

I stopped on the next bench and was watching so he asked me to help
I am used to them and just walked towards them - I know they will push it for a while but if you get too close and don;t look like backing down then they back off
I did gently push my foot forward - if they want to peck cycling shoe then good luck to them!

anyway I chased them off

his girlfriend/wife/whatever was laughing at him - good natured type
I bet she tells her friends about it this evening!

anyway - made it back just as the women got back from lunch

I don;t think I was being especially obtuse!

I used to have 2 sugars in black coffee but when I was about 18 I was at university and realised I was miles behind with work and only had Saturday to catch up

and the on campus shop was closed on Saturday - and the next nearest was in Beeston and was too far away to get there and back and still get the work done

by the end of the weekend I no longer took sugar in coffee!

anyway - hope that was not overly obuse

coffee - black - no sugar

whiskey in a glass not in hot liquid

and no ice

anyone want details of tea???

I stopped using milk and sugar in coffee (and tea) when working in Russia and Ukraine, after the breakup of the USSR. "Sugar" came in 2cm square cubes, whatever it was, it was not sugar. Milk was often so rancid it would not pour. I decided to pass on both, and just never went back to using them.

Not quite as far as Bradford. Mrs Tkk has just booked a nice Veggie friendly cafe within an easy walk from the station.
Shipley* is literally down the road from Saltaire, more trains running there than Saltaire. And you could go past Ellis Briggs as well, by mistake.

*Second station out of Bradford, and the last working triangular station still in use on mainland britain.
