Good morning all fellow wheezers.
Another lovely day in prospect.
My first mug of tea is being drunk :cuppa:
I will get a phone call from the hospital later to tell me what time to arrive tomorrow. I have some little bottles of a carbohydrate drinks that I have to take, 4 tonight and 2 tomorrow morning, two hours before admission.
I've also got some hipiscrub wash gloves that I have to clean myself with tonight and first thing in the morning.
I'll be out with Millie soon, today will be our last walk together for a little while. MrsP will be taking over dog walking duties in the interim.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Sounds massive to me but seems to be a routine operation with today's knowledge and technology.
Hope all goes well for you, I'm sure it will.

Look nice out and I could smell the bacon from last night when I came down this morning

so I opened every window downstairs for a while to get some fresh air in the house

Also because SWMBO is off out for lunch with her friend at lunchtime - and if the house smells of "stuff" when she comes round then she will feel embarrassed
even though I do all teh cooking and most of the cleaning an stuff

but society does "train" girls to "know" that keeping a house clean and tidy is a "woman's job" and it is never the fault of the husband

society is to blame for a lot of rubbish in people's minds - especially women

Anyway - she is off out for lunch - which sounds like a bike ride to me!!

Good morning. Once again from a gloriously sunny Lancashire. No real frost last night. I have some general stuff to do including getting to the barber as I need to smarten up for a Saturday night out. It's cards group this afternoon and then I'm off to Boots to give a blood sample and a few other routine tests. I've signed up for a research programme with Our Future Health and must take this assessment first................presumably to be sure I'm fit enough to survive till the end! I may pop down to the LBS but not sure I'll have time.

Just been looking on Strava at my ride yesterday

just a general dawdle to the airport - came to 16 miles in the end

Strava seems to think that I did 3 personal best on segments

which is weird as I was really not going at any speed at all - and the ebike battery was low on charge so I was keeping it in Eco mode (the lowest) so it wasn;t like it was constantly whizzing me up to 15 mph all the time!

did make me look at some of the "all time records" on there

yeah - right - seems like the TdF riders have some serious competition based on that
one bloke seems to have averaged about 38 mph along the road through the industrial estate
OK - so it is a road and a good rider on a good bike maybe able to keep that speed up for a few miles

but that road ain;t very flat in terms of potholes and "variation in surface" shall we say
and its covered in grit and general carp from the lorries going to and from the industrial estate
basically if I did that speed in my car I would have been in a hurry!!
