Very impressed with the new King’s ability to solve the traffic congestion problem so soon in his reign. Can we have another next please?
I think even joking about that might get you locked up today!

Fantastic ride en tandem with Mrs T.

Set off from Morecambe along the prom, then made our way up the Lune valley, eventually reaching Ingleton for coffee and cakes.

Then up to Ribblehead on the minor road, which was an absolute joy, and ice cream.

A rather strong head wind made the descent to Settle hard work, thence through the lanes to Clitheroe, and a swim in the Ribble at Brungerley Bridge to cool off.

60 miles, 4500ft climbing and utterly wonderful.

@roubaixtuesday I love that road under Twistleton scar to Chapel Le Dale, where did that lovely smooth tarmac come from! The climb up Oddies Lane might have been challenging on the tandem with the tight bends.

Yes, a hire bike. €205 a week. I wanted the 105 road bike for about €170/wk but none available in my size when I enquired. Di2 carbon version for €270/wk
That's not bad. It would certainly beat the stress and hassle of flying my own bike out.
