I'll be watching and celebrating with the neighbours by way of a wee BBQ and bring your own bevy. I will need to have a reasonably early night though, as I'm cycling out to Rothesay on Sunday and maybe a swim in Kilchattan Bay, before camping for the night. šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§

I would love to be out on the bike during the Coronation, but in my area the forecast makes it looks like it is going to be pishing down all day, so I'm not optimistic.

I did do a long-ish ride during the funeral of the previous post-holder and while traffic might have been slightly lower than usual, it wasn't exactly quiet - the country might not be quite as pro-royal as many would have us believe.

Who's going cycling instead of watching Charlie being coronated?

Mrs Tuesday and I are going from Morecambe to near Clitheroe on the tandem and staying in a nice pub, route Bowland/Dales/flatter TBC weather dependent, returning the following day.

What exciting plans do you have?

A small campsite near Dartmoor and a walk along the Teign valley....

Great thread title BTW.

Reminds me of a tale my dad used to tell. When Charles and Diana got married my parents were out walking in the Brecon Beacons. A man came up to my dad and said, with a German accent "A Welshman who is not watching the wedding". My dad corrected him "No, I am an Englishman who is not watching the wedding". His new German friend replied "Ah, but you are a republican".
