Bordeaux Gare Saint-Jean this morning, tried to catch a train to Arcachon but due to engineering works it was cancelled, so went on a bike ride instead ... 👍
While waiting for the final leg of today's journey home - a Matisa R24 S Ballast Regulator in front of the Norwich-London Intercity train which was being delayed by a broken down engineering train in the Colchester area.
Useless information alert - for some reason they run a formation of 2 x 4 coach & 1 x 3 coach Class 755s rather than the normal 12 coach Class 745 each way on this route once per day, this being the return leg.
No photos unfortunately, but there were a couple of unusual locos at Netherfield station as we passed (on a boring Class 158) which I've now worked out were Class 20s.

I should have got photos but didn't, but the campsite I stated at had a user operated level crossing. Once the lights turned green I had Mrs D leap and open the gates whike I drove across. All very quaint.
