166208 & 170619 this morning at Stapleton Road, Bristol.
The 166 is a local Avonmouth - Bristol train whilst the 170 is the Bristol - Stansted airport service via Birmingham !

This is a very recent addition, as I have't seen it in the past week or so, plus the local feral youths haven't spray-painted over it
The section of the building to the extreme left was 'Rushworths', the local papershop, where I bought my Cycling Weekly
(with a 'railway related' building in the background, the Midland Hotel)
I know of the railways history, but not about the post office
At the time of construction, it was the worlds longest platform, at 1/4 mile long!
1970s?
I remember the buildings being there, but not in use (barring, maybe a couple of store-rooms?)
1975
All of the sidings/goods yard have gone, with houses built there
Every trace of a building is now obliterated (the road bridge is the same)
The pedestrian bridge to the 'Station Hotel', later the Flying Scotsman has gone, with just traces of the abutments left (now rebuilt, as 'apartments')
Queen Victoria stayed there once

Every Monday the engine that pulled the 08.00 am from Stamford to Leicester was a Brit. I attended Oakham Sec Mod and as an RAF kid in my last years of schooling had a free season ticket paid for by Lincolnshire CC the other days we had Moguls for travelling.

Yep - 12:02 on Friday heading home. No bike, so I wouldn't have been recognisable
More comfortable than an Azuma in my opinion.

The seats are definitely better shaped & padded than the Azuma ones, but seem to have a little less leg room. The carriages feel as if they ride smoother as well, but that may be due to the better seats.
As far as seat designs go, I'd like to meet the person who designed the mounting for the class 755s in use roud here and shake them warmly by the throat. If you like the window seat and unless you get a table seat, there's a thick metal tube emerging at an angle from the side of the carriage forming part of the mounting for the seat in front. It's right where you'd be putting you foot if like me you've got longer legs and need the leg room.
(as per screen grab below - it's the rearmost of the two mounting tubes that's in the way)
