Brilliant afternoon/ evening at Duxford today, lots of aircraft I've never actually seen before ...
So many photos, so manu short videos, Vampire was extra special to see fir me personally, lovely whistling jet as it went past at speed.

The Vampire - I'm presuming that one - flew last me while I was out for a bike ride a few years ago. It was magnificent.

Most likely the Vampire Preservation Group's example, based at Coventry.
The one is GBB's photo at Duxford flies with the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron.

I've just seen a strange one fly over just now !
Single engined high wing monoplane with twin rudders . Radial engine . Bigger than a De haviland Beaver and smaller than a Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer . It was flying North East towards Kemble .

No. An otter still has a single rudder .
I think it was a Max Holste MH 1521 Broussard. A French plane built between 1954 /59.

You can just Google adsb exchange, it works quite quickly, you can zoom into your local area and see exactly what's airborne, tap on it, it will open an identification box with some data, altitude etctc. Works quite adequately, no apps, just use Google each time.

Don't know about radarbox but having seen Flightradar24 demonstrating flight congestion on BBC news earlier on I had a look at that. Useful amount of usability on the free version even if you need to refresh it every half hour or so, and it returns to what you were looking at. Having followed a flight from Liverpool John Lennon which happened to pass near my house which I heard above the cloud cover dead on time with the screen info I was suitably impressed. Some experimentation showed info on military and private flights too. No doubt it has its drawbacks for the cognoscenti but it's all new to me. Might be tempted to go for the paid version sometime in the future.
