No ideaI
it was a heavy lump, as the Volvo FH16 (750BHP) was suffering from wheelslip, climbing up to Ainley Top, to join the M62
Not an exactly common sight, but the local heavy haulage company, Colletts, appear to have no trouble taking them up or down the same road.

Terberg have the contract for supply/maintenance for RAF airfield trucks, there was a lot of Aircraft refueling trucks on site last year, doesn't bode well if it's specifically for refueling Vulcans though ^_^

Have they manage to get the Vulcan out of Doncaster airport??

I think it's been given a temporary reprieve.

If and when it finally leaves, it will be in pieces.

Shame it can’t fly out, but it’s been stood so long now, safety comes first, just hope it gets a good home, perhaps the air museum at Elvington could display it, there’s another one stood at the transport museum off the A19 near the Nissan Plant at Sunderland

I think Elvington have already stated that they don’t want it.

NESLAM or whatever it's called. I *think* it is '319', but don't quote me on that. They repainted it not all that long ago too.

They also have the oldest complete Trident, 'Trident 1', G - ARPO, albeit waiting to have it's wings finally attached.

It was a BEA and then BA machine, but they have painted it into the yellow 'North East' livery that a few other Tridents also carried when there were still the regional operators (before they were all amalgamated into BA).

It is a nod to it's geographical location (also it's such a 'rare' livery anyway).

My Dads ‘plane, Dixon’s corner somewhere in Germany. Ordered to practice flying for an upcoming air show, on one engine only to impress the German crowd, and the remaining working engine konks out.
