Did you see many BA 146s? Getting quite old now. Last time I was in London City there were quite a few, mainly Swissair.
When I was running the Hobbystores shop in Chelmsford I had a customer who used to fly them, said you had run the engines almost flat out all the time because of their meagre power output.

Funny little plane now they all seem so beige in design!

The one thing that struck me...the B17, the Catalina, when you stand near them, they're not as big as I thought they'd be. Now the Short Sunderland, on static display...is freekin HUGE.

Catalina is a legend. Any warplane with a kitchen on board sounds good to me.

The Herky always seemed pretty big to me, but...

The Galaxy is a serious chunk of airplane.

I saw one coming into land at Newcastle, from the Brunswick industrial estate, you genuinely wonder how on earth something that size can fly, despite a basic idea of the principles of how aircraft do fly, the approach line had the thing really low as it went past, a very impressive sight

The same size as the whole plane, near enough...but yes, same span. EDIT: in fact, over two metres wider!
