As long as I breathe, I attack.
At my cafe stop as I type , boy it's tough today! 35 miles in and a bacon sarnie is fueling the next bit .
Mrs CK at work so I'm staying close to the house as teen mini CK are ok but don't like to be to far away even though they are probably still in bed

Thanks @Ajax Bay for starting the 2025 thread and good luck everyone.

I've got a route planned for Saturday but the forecast is pretty cold (-3 overnight and not above 2 during the day) with a yellow warning of snow and ice, which may cause me to wimp out and fire up the turbo.

Was a hard frost down here at 7am - on the Devon coast.
I'll not be riding till this cold ten days is through. It's punctuated by a weekend of windy/very gusty near gales and wet but warm. Also unenthused. Instead I shall watch my daughter race (ftw) in the Leicester and Rutland county cross country champs this Saturday wearing excellent waterproofs and wellies.

I’m off the mark – didn’t think I’d get a ride before mid-January but I spotted an opportunity last night. It was cold at the start of the ride (3C) and I was heading south into the wind for 52km. Had to negotiate a fallen tree so took a slight diversion on the return leg. It rained for the last 35km – but I had the wind behind me which helped.

Ridden on my gravel bike (first time she’s done a metric century). Also first time out with my new saddle bag and powerful front light. Both worked well.

Tired, cold and hungry this evening – but pleased I did this ride today.

Blimey that was cold. Garmin reckoned the temperature was floating between 2 and 3 degrees all day. No ice as it hasn't been freezing at night (I don't think I'd have gone out if there was ice). Low cloud - and very poor visibility because of the cloud/fog on top of the North Downs. Climbing was OK because I tended to warm up, but descents were painful.

I've been home for a while and the feeling is yet to return to my feet.

Still, it was a nice ride despite the cold. Not many cyclists about - unsurprisingly. 102km in the bag.
