I've brought these Barker made brogues home from the retro clothing shop to polish them up. I don't know if I'll be able to get those scuff/black marks off. I'm thinking some sort of chemical solution might get the black off. Maybe methylated spirits will do it? 🤔 There's no point in just trying to polish over the marks as brown polish won't cover black marks. If I can get those scuff marks off I might buy them as they're only £15 and they are my size 10.

I have a pair of these in black, that I've had for 30 years and still going strong

I call them my funeral shoes (used too often these days, unfortunately)

 To you wire wool and scotchbrite. First try soapy water, then a stronger detergent (washing up liquid diluted) then methylated spirits.

I picked this bargain up today. Unusual for me as it wasn't in a charity shop. It was in an actual gents outfitters. 47 quid for a jacket that's £550 online.

Interesting, this is the first double breasted jacket I've ever bought.

Edited 5 hours later.......Just remembered. I had a double breasted suit in the early 1990's.

I'm thinking about buying these trousers. 🤔

I bought the sand coloured ones and the navy blue ones earlier in the year. I wanted them in this silver colour then, but they'd sold out of my size 32 waist. They've recently been on their site again, after I presume having to wait a fair while for some more to be made. If I don't buy them soon I think my size will sell out, then I'll have months to wait for them to reappear.
