The hats arrived yesterday. I like both, especially the cream wool one! I think @stephec might think it's a bit Huggy Bear(ish), but it's a nice bright summer colour, much better for summer than dark brown, grey, navy etc. In my opinion of course!:okay:

That's a fair comment. I prefer socks with loafers because I'm not a bare foot type. No socks with certain boat shoes yes, but not with slightly formal Loake loafers. I have a few pairs of ribbed, fine material, slightly colourful (these being one of them https://www.charlestyrwhitt.com/uk/...0307LPK.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw8-OhBhB5EiwADyoY1d) socks that go well with my loafers.

Boat shoes are meant for boats. Not for the freezer aisle in Waitrose. Only gigolos go there in boat shoes. Height of pretension.

No socks is the way of avoiding wet socks on a boat.
Received wisdom on boats is stay as dry as possible as long as possible.
As for when to wear a fedora, words fail me.

Oh right, so by the same token you can only wear trainers when training for a physical activity? As for fedora hat wearing, you can wear one when/where you want! Have you seen the state of the average person out there?! All wearing black (it's like being at a mass funeral procession every day), looking the same as each other. No style, no individuality, no 'let's step out the mainstream' etc etc.

Yes, re trainers. Track suits too.
Lounge suits?

Yesterday a bloke came into the retro clothing shop I work in. He spotted my hat (below) and said "Love the hat man'!! A nice compliment, but he was wearing red indian chief feathered type headwear, a 'Buffalo Bill' light tan suede tasseled jacket, navy blue leather pants and white/black snakeskin (hope/think they were fake) shoes! I should've asked if I could take a photo of him, but sadly I didn't.

While searching for traditional vests I found this site. I wear a white t-shirt under my shirts, as in a clean one every day not just one particular white t-shirt. They are getting a bit torn, worn and losing their shape, so it's time for some new ones. I think the one below will do fine! I was toying with the idea of those old fashioned string vests, but I'm not too keen on such things being visible under my shirts, when I take my jacket etc off.

Fellow chaps, have a look at the site! I found this and I'm very tempted!

It's my size! I find a site that sells traditional gents underwear and end up fancying ANOTHER tweed jacket!!
