yes, I suppose a style is a style weather it is well-to-do or maybe less caring in ones appearance

you can see here which side the snotters get blown over (I am a solo cyclist!)

And just as I kind of expected, I received an email from Hilditch & Key today saying that I can have either the electric blue poet fedora or the black poet fedora for the same price as the green one. There's no need to ponder over which one to choose as the electric blue is now only available in a too big for me 63 centimeters size, so I'll take the black one. On seeing their email my thoughts were that I should've waited another day to see if they offered me what I asked for and held back on buying the Borsalino fedora as I now have two hats, but on looking at the Borsalino page it's now sold out in my 60 centimeter size, so at least I can say I bought the last one and I do like it, thinking I'd be kicking myself for missing out on it, if I hadn't bought it! A tale of two hats indeed!!! 🧐

I opened the hat last night. I'm very pleased with it! It could be the best made hat I've ever bought! Even the box it came in is a kind of hat box to keep it in when it's not being worn. If Only I had more room in my cluttered flat I'd have the box somewhere to keep the hat in. but I'm still keeping the box as it's too good to throw away. I mentioned a few posts ago about the dark brown Borsalino fedora I bought the other day, saying it's not as substantial as I'd hoped for, unlike the old Borsalino hats I've handled in the retro clothing shop I work in. Well this hat is as substantial and as stiff as those old hats! It's the closest I've worn to those old hats, without being old!

I'm still undecided about the Borsalino fedora, as in should I keep it. 🤔 I like it, but not as much as the one above and thinking about it I could send the Borsalino back to Village Hats, which is quite easy as the hat came with a return for free sticker in the box, and maybe spend the £279 on another hat from Hilditch & Key! 🤔

I think she has a partner, as in a bloke. Not that I was thinking about such things when I went for my hat. 🧐 :okay:

I'd get the thread locked if I answered this properly. 😂

It's also available in black. I quite like black though it is quite formal, so not very match-able with earth colour tweeds, though it is still possible to wear both together. Plus, I don't own a black hat at all, though I do have a black corduroy flat cap somewhere in my flat, which I haven't seen for a few years now.

I must resist the temptation to buy the above in either navy blue or electric blue! The brim is 9.5 centimeters which is absolutely massive! Imagine it on a windy day! I do like it, but would I feel comfortable about looks and comments wearing such a wide brimmed hat?! 🤔 🧐

It's to keep your head warm, nothing else.
Around here you'd be mugged and your car on eBay before I finish this message.
