I knocked on her door having not met her before, even though she moved in about 6 months ago. Though I think I might've said hello in passing.🤔 She was very friendly and said she'd take any parcels in for me, even offering to carry the parcel to my car. I politely declined the offer as it was very light in weight, though maybe a bit big, but it fit under my arm. How kind of her, so taking her up on her offer I knocked yesterday asking if she would accept the black fedora hat which is due later today as I post. She said she would, with me adding that I only get the odd parcel every now and then, not wanting her to think I now see her address as a parcel pick up point! 🧐

I bet you'd love the merry widow to pick up your "parcel", eh?

Again this thread is heading for the gutter, Accy must be groaning and moaning, .....but not in the way 'we' are thinking ! This 'Doris': neighbour of his may be a kindly old soul, at short of company.
A bit like my neighbour, who in my imagination is a retired dominatrix , but I have no proof of that, she often knocks me up to pump her tyres up on her bike, which I gladly do.......but she like most elderly old dears is a bit of a nosy old nag & likes to know what's going on.
Which is a good thing, in a way.....

Baggy trackers and a beat up moth eaten pully with a stout pr of boots and cap, furkleing with the mobo, then digging in the back garden today .the height of my sartorial elegance, at least my bum crack won't be exposed.

Back in a cardigan today, the most versatile garment known to humankind.

As Jasper Carrot put it "I must be getting old. I was walking past Dunn's the other day and looking in the window, thought 'there's a nice cardy' "

As an aside Dunn's has long gone too. They seemed to have the monopoly on Harris tweed if I remember rightly
