Sorry you lost your gloves.
I must've tried/asked 5 or 6 shops I could've left them in, but sadly no luck. There's one shop I visit left to ask. I was going to ask them today, but they'd gone Christmas shopping in Manchester, which would seem like hell on earth to me, but they go there quite a lot as they say they like busy city life. Which after seeing many videos of Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester, or 'Crackie Gardens' as one video presenter/narrator calls it, where everyone seems to be wearing black 'bin liner' polyester clothing, again seems like hell on earth! My idea of 'fun shopping' would be nearby to me Clitheroe which I visit quite often, or further away, but only 25 miles from me Skipton, which are both rural, old market towns, where you might even see a fellow tweedster or two, like myself!!🧐 ;)

I have a pr of fleece gloves that I have had for some time, still a pr , I wouldn't mind losing the odd gloves now and then, but for some reason they always seem to be the Right hand, i have a pile of L handed gloves, i can't fathom why?

I tried the last hope shop today, asking if they had them, but sadly they don't. I've now stopped looking for them and asking folk if they have them. Maybe they'll turn up somewhere in my cluttered flat. This has happened before with lost items. I have a rule. I don't buy the same or similar to a lost item as a replacement because if I did, no doubt the lost item would turn up. Like my lost Fred Perry baseball cap did a few years ago when I bought similar, not the same as a replacement and a bloke who owns a cafe shouted across the road to me that he had my Fred Perry cap, after I'd left it in his cafe a few months earlier.

I don't think it's excessive, I've had 'Fred' my bike leather since 79 then about 10 years later bought the 'Blouson' style one then the 'Smart' leather in about 2005 and Maz was planning on donating the Sheepskin to a charity shop til I collared it about 10 years back and now I've got the brown one so in 45years I've only had 5.

I've got these -

Barbour International Steve McQueen jacket, my favourite one
Barbour International Trialmaster, similar to the original motorcycle jacket but slightly lighter weight
Barbour International lightweight Black wax that's ideal for spring but has now gone back into the wardrobe until next year
Barbour Nautical Parka, too warm to wear above 5 centigrade
John Partridge Motorcycle jacket
Backhouse of New Zealand Stockman, that's my dog walking in a downpour coat

She might have a point that I don't need anymore, but that's the difference between 'want' and 'need.'

Oh, and I have wax bucket hats in green, black, and brown, so that I've always got one to match.

A Fred Perry baseball cap? Most distastefull , and there's me under the illusion that your a man of distinctive taste in styling of clothing.
Wouldn't catch me wearing a baseball cap ,Fred Perry or otherwise,
My favourite tifter at the moment ,is a Donegal Tweed touring cap, as worn by John Wayne in that wonderful film ' The Quiet Man', inspired me to buy one in Donegal.
Various others , Bucket hats ,beanies, , a 'Gob' cap when I'm sailing, and for summer wear ,I have a Pith Helmet ,genuine Vietnamese Pith, which is great !
Not good for sailing or cycling , as the wind gets under the brim

Yes, not quite me, but I think it was a phase I was going through. I still have both the Fred Perry 'Madras' caps, hidden under a pile of other caps, scarves, cravats etc on my overflowing hat stand. The shirts below are the same pattern as the caps I have. The top one is like the cap I lost, later returned to me by the cafe owner. The bottom one is the pattern I bought to replace the lost one. As you can see they aren't the same, so I ended up with 2 Fred Perry caps, quite unlike each other.🤔

I haven't searched for the cap as it'd take me quite a while to dismantle my hat stand's 'mountain' of caps, scarves etc, but I have found 2 pics of me wearing one of the Fred Perry caps in May 2021. Both jackets in the photos are Fred Perry ones. You can see the Fred Perry Laurel wreath on the top one, albeit it 'back to front' due to my 'selfie' cock up.

Looking at the patterns when next to each other I don't think they are the same. 🤔 I remember now that I have the shirt below on a hanger somewhere in my bedroom/walk in wardrobe. I really do need to clothes de-clutter, starting with such as below, but I'm not giving such stuff to a charity shop as I'd get a fair price for decent Fred Perry stuff on fleabay. Having said that, that's easier said than done as I just couldn't be bothered to take the photos to show the item for sale and then wait for any payments etc.:tired:
