Oohh, will the team get Grenadier support vehicles?
I wouldn't be surprised at a change of kit though, some not so subtle sponsoring.
Stop press! Work on the Bridgend factory has been put on hold - Daimler group have put their Hambach factory up for sale now Smart production is due to move to China, and Ineos Automotive want to investigate the possibility of buying an already built, modern car factory, right slap in the middle of their supply lines. The Welsh aren't best chuffed over the possibility of losing the factory on their turf at this late stage, but from a purely business perspective I can see why IA want to check it out. Let's see what happens.
Don't be so sure.

This is his bid for Government Funding ... nothing else ....
Could be, hadn't thought of that. But then it might not be. It's a trick Nissan try to pull every 2nd or 3rd week and JLR are on their knees negotiating for a bailout package, so if everyone else is on the take from HMG then why should IA be any different?

But as yet they've not asked, so we'll have to see how it pans put.

But it's the product that interest me, not remotely interested in any business politics behind it.

That's fine it's just the irony of it.
Billionaire Ratcliffe, who I think helped back the leave campaign ? Backed Brexit anyway decides to feck Wales of and build it in France lol.
Im a hypocrite because I like the cycling team but as far as this goes,it stinks.

Isn't that a bit premature?

Nothing has been decided yet.

Having a fully equipped, modern, strategically placed car factory with a trained workforce come on the market is rare, and a start up manufacturer would be daft not to look at it.

Totally off topic, but it is 4 x 4 related, I watched that program where they restore old classics with electric motors.
Tonight they put a Tesla power unit in a defender.
Took a bit of modification work, including on the power unit, it was put in length ways instead of the usual horizontal.
It did 0 to 60 in 6 secs had a range of 200 mile and was brilliant off road.
They didn't tell you what the conversion cost though.

I wouldn't trust him or his motives,as above he probally wants some sort of incentive/bung to stay here.

Ratcliffe, (imho) is a horrible bloke, and if it wasn't for my former boss (bloody nice fella) who supposedly has money in this project, or any actual employees of this car company, I'd be highly amused to see him lose every penny he had.

There has been fairly closely matched Landies in terms of power/acceleration (& range....)
Nene Overland will install the (5.0) Mustang V8, at a cost

And, of course Bowlers are beastie, but a very specialised machine

Instant torque from an electric motor
The off-road section shown demonstrated the ablilties of the LSD's fitted, & skinny mud-tyres, which were probably Goodyear G90, or BF Goodrich Mud-Terrains
(so they 'bite' rather than float about on top)

I read something today that said the Ineos cycling team was changing it's name to The Ineos Grenadiers to tie in with this, is that not just the best team name ever!
