i imagine the large wine would be about 7 to 8 quid (it's always been a pricy drink), but a fiver for lager shandy! just lager, maybe, but half lemonade... jeeez

Shandy is always the same cost as a full pint of beer I think.
Price doesn’t surprise me as I’m in London

£8.70 per 250ml on website
£26 a bottle

That makes the shandy £4.95

Not unreasonable prices for an upmarket tourist centre pub.

I bought a bitter shandy for a mate last week, it was £2 whereas the pint of the same bitter was £3 (it's the cheapest bitter on tap, but quaffable none-the-less). A pint of Staropramen in the same pub is £5.50

Well researched!

Didn't know they had a pricelist tbh.

Good job Mrs SD didn’t have Sauv' Blanc or Malbec at £10 for a large glass. ^_^

The wine thing is past risible into the "taking it" zone.
There is a lot of good wine out there for £5 a bottle in the supermarkets
Suggests that a restaurant could buy and sell for £15 and struggle by.

Then there is the 10% service charge! You can guess, I refuse to pay it. I will tip if they do a good job.
